"Fingerprints" is about the big reveal in ScoobyDoo when you finally catch the monster/villain causing all the trouble, you pull off the mask, and see yourself staring back at you. One of my parents favorite sayings remains "wherever you go, there you are." While writing "Fingerprints" I found myself at a crossroads of sorts where "I couldn't sit this one out." The second verse uses imagery of the story of Hercules. Particularly Disney's adaptation. It was written and initially recorded in my childhood bedroom while visiting my parents.
